5 Beauty Products You Need In Your Life Right Now

March 28, 2017

A perfect beauty routine might not exist, but we all have products we plan to use as long as we can. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to live without a few things such as a favorite shampoo or daily cleanser. If you feel like venturing out of your usual regime, consider these beauty items below.

5 Must-Have Beauty Products

These items are listed from left to right in the photo above:

1. Conditioner

If your hair tends to get oily like mine, this leave-in conditioner will be perfect for you. I have been through a bunch of conditioners that make my hair feel gross, and this leave-in conditioner does the complete opposite. It also helps comb out all the knots in my hair after I take a shower.

2. Concealer

With dry skin and dark circles under my eyes, it’s so hard to find a concealer that blends well with my face. I realized that I needed to find a more creamy product. My friend recommended Benefit Erase Paste for me. A little goes a long way for this product that helps brighten up the area under my eyes while covering other dark spots on my face.

3. Makeup Sponge

We probably remember when these tiny bright pink sponges became the big beauty craze. I was honestly skeptical at first to see if these really worked. But once I tried it, my makeup routine has changed. As someone with dry skin, it’s easier to use a wet sponge on my face than a brush or my fingers. I have yet to try any cheaper versions of this product, but I usually use one $20 sponge for a few months before changing it.

4. Eyeliner

I’ve tried every type of eyeliner—pencil, gel, crayon, etc.—and they have never stayed on long enough. But using a waterproof marker really made a difference for my daily eyeliner use. Kat Von D calls their eyeliner “Tattoo Liner” for a reason and it lives up to its name by staying on all day long!

5. Facial Cleanser

Taking off makeup is something no one enjoys, but it has to be done, right? At least I try to do a thorough job. When I first used this facial cleanser in the shower, I walked out and was shocked when I realize that all my eye makeup went away! It really helps clear away any dirt, sweat, or makeup from your face and now I use it every single night.
