City Bites: Mia Figlia

February 13, 2018

It looks like I should just change the name of this series into City Brunch, right? I swear I’ll branch out into other meals of the day… someday. Right now, there’s nothing that I love more than suggesting a brunch place that isn’t splattered all over Instagram. Mia Figlia seems like a typical Italian restaurant, but they still know how to bring their brunch game to the table.

I’ve only had the chance to dine at Mia Figlia during brunch. While the Edgebrook restaurant only serves brunch on Sundays, that doesn’t stop them from providing their guests with a complete brunch menu. Their brunch dishes offer an Italian twist ranging from Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Tuscan Baked Eggs to Breakfast Pizza (pictured above).

I ordered the Breakfast Pizza for my brunch experience because how can you say no to pizza for breakfast? I am willing to eat it cold and leftover, so this upgrade couldn’t have been more delightful. The toppings included are sun-dried tomatoes, pesto, roasted vegetables, cheese and an egg on top. Every bite ended up being so delicious that I ate my leftovers at 10 p.m. later that evening (I couldn’t stop thinking about it!).

What’s great about dining at restaurants that aren’t only about brunch is the affordable prices that come with each meal. The Breakfast Pizza only cost $7! You can spend less than $20 on your next brunch.

But let’s be real, how could anyone turn down their amazing $9 bottomless mimosa deal either? If you’re looking for a new (and affordable) brunch place, take a drive to Edgebrook to enjoy a spectacular meal.
