I sometimes don’t realize how close we are to the water in New York City. Yes, I know Manhattan is an island, but the crowded streets cause me and (probably others) to forget how we’re only a few steps away from the river. The best way to experience New York’s large bodies of water is with all the boats, and I know firsthand that’s something everyone should do at least summer.
While Central Park was a winter wonderland not too long ago, spring is officially here in NYC! All you need is that first sunny, warm day to go outside, after all. One thing to love about spring in New York is the chance to see all those beautiful flowers bloom. Most importantly, you need to head over to see the spring bloom in Central Park.
The Statue of Liberty serves as a national symbol of freedom for more than 100 years. Of course, some Americans and international folks have the bucket list goal to climb up to the crown. Well, it turns out a lot of people want to do that. I learned that the hard way—crown reservations are usually booked months in advance. After moving to New York, I decided to make that reservation as soon as I arrived.
